June opened and ran a bird boarding facility from home in Melbourne for six years before locating to sunny Queensland

with her partner. In their new home near Tamborine Mountain they have adapted an area connected to the house to become a purpose built room for boarding our clients favourite friends, and have been running that since 2017.

 

June has been breeding and hand rearing birds for over 20 years and has experience with a range of different birds and parrots. We have had requests from people who have gained a family friend from us, and built a special room to look after their pets when they go away. Its a quality area attached to our home and we only accommodate up to 10 birds at any time.

 

The room has two sides surrounded by floor to ceiling windows to let the morning sun in, and is set on the back side of Tamborine Mountain- looking over the pool to the trees at the back of the property and the mountain.

 

The room has wire over the sliding doors to allow for plenty of fresh air. The internal sliding doors (with security screens) can be opened to allow for temperature control from the reverse cycle ducted air conditioning system if necessary.

 

We can supply a cage for your bird, a healthy fresh diet full of variety, and the necessary hygiene practices.

We find that most birds not only enjoy their stay but often a not to keen to leave-because they enjoy the stimulation from being around other birds. We usually have babies being hand reared, and a few of our own birds so theres never a dull moment.

We are planning an out door play area, that the birds can go outside to use during the day, providing plenty of stimulation and sunlight.
